Apart from the so-called short-term or travel visas there are two other types of Schengen visas: Airport transit visa or Transit visa

The applicant will have to provide evidence that he/she falls under this category.

Airport transit visa

Palestinian citizens are not subject to an airport transit visa requirement.

An airport transit visa allows holders to pass through the international zone of an airport of a Schengen member state without access to the national territory of the Schengen member state. The list of third countries whose nationals must hold an airport transit visa when passing through the international transit areas of airports situated on the territory of the Member States is set out in Annex 7A of the Visa code handbook.

Transit visa

A transit visa enables applicants to pass through the territory of one or more Schengen member states on their way to another country outside the Schengen area.
