Denmark is part of the Schengen area. This means that you apply for a Schengen visa. You will find more information about the Schengen visa rules here.
You are only allowed to stay in the Schengen area on a visitor’s visa for up to 90 days over a period of 180 days. To calculate your stay in the Schengen area, you can use the Schengen Visa Calculator.
Application Process
Application
We advise you to apply well in advance. You may apply 6 months in advance of your intended travel.
Applications are made online via ApplyVisa. During the online application, you will have to pay your applications fee, this fee is non-refundable. Join one passport picture (35x45mm) to the visa application form from ApplyVisa.
The application form from ApplyVisa and other mandatory documents must be submitted in person at the VFS Visa Application Center in Ramallah or Gaza.
At the VFS Visa Application Center, a document review takes place and biometrics are obtained.
Required documents
The below checklists list all obligatory documents according to purpose of travel.
- Visit of family and friends
- Business visit
- Tourism
- Political, religious, educational, sports or cultural event
IMPORTANT: The travel insurance must cover COVID19-related illnesses.
Missing documents
Applicants must bring ALL mandatory documents to the VFS Visa Application Center as per the above checklists. If documents are found to be missing, the applicant has 5 days to provide them to VFS Visa Application Center or the Consulate General in Dubai.
ALL documents must be translated into English or Danish; documents in other languages will not be accepted.
Processing time
Processing time varies but applications will usually be processed within 15 days. However, when further case processing is needed, the processing time can be extended to 45 days.
